I am delighted you are exploring birthing options and considering hiring a doula. A doula is a great addition to your birth plan and can provide you with the support you deserve.
I have a beautiful son thanks to the unwavering support from my loved ones and my doula. Throughout my challenging pregnancy and labor, I gained confidence as a woman and mother, and always had the information and support I needed. This experience inspired me to help other women as they embark on this transformative journey.

I will never forget my child’s birth story nor will you forget yours.
You and your partner deserve to be fully informed about the birth process to ensure you are making the best choices for you and your baby. Every family is unique and every labor is different – there is no “right” way to labor. As your doula, I promise to support you and your birth choices with respect, encouragement and kindness whether you have a natural, medicated or cesarean birth. You have the power within you to birth your baby, and I will make sure you have the resources and support you need to make the choices that work for you. I continue to be in awe of a woman’s ability to create life and it is always an honor to be present in the face of such magic. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to use my skills to support the birth process. I am committed to helping you and your family create the most positive and life-affirming event possible. Being a doula isn’t a job for me, it’s a calling; and it’s one I’m passionate about and love to do.
More about me
Before becoming a doula I worked at UC Berkeley’s Recreational Sports Department and as an Ergonomics and Safety Coordinator for Travelocity.com. I grew up in San Francisco and earned a BA in Political Science from San Francisco State University.
After my move to Sacramento I became active in non-profit work. Following my love for animals, I co-founded Sacramento Dog Owner’s Group, and held a leadership role with Sacramento Area Animal Coalition’s annual Spay Day event. While immersed in motherhood during my son’s earliest years, I secured First Five grants aimed at creating community through art and music playgroups for children and their families. Currently my efforts focus on helping woman and their newborns meet their lactation needs.
